The Sultanate of Oman is the second largest country on the
Arabian Peninsula, lying along its southeast corner. It has a
total land area of 300,000 square kilometres and a population of
over two million.
The Musandam, separated from the rest of Oman by the United Arab
Emirates, is the northernmost part of the Sultanate.
Due to its geographical position and mountainous terrain it was
isolated from the rest of Oman and the region developed at its
own pace. Graded roads cut across the mountains have now made it
more accessible. The grandeur of Musandam can best be explored
by sea.
Musandam Peninsula has an abundance of sheltered fjords, some
only connected to the mainland by narrow cliffs. Fjords, or
khors, created by fragmented rock stretching claw-like into the
sea and massive overshadowing cliffs towering above are
magnificently reflected in the water below.
The coast juts into the Strait of Hormuz and extends some 600
kilometres. These spectacular fjords have given the area a
second name “The Norway of Arabia” The Strait of Hormuz is only
60km wide and does not exceed 60m in depth and is of strategic
importance to Oman as 90% of all the Gulf’s oil trade passes
through this area.
The only dive center is the Extra Divers Dive Center located in
the “Golden Tulip Hotel” in Khasab, which is the capital of the
most northerly province of Musandam.
It is the only dive center in the whole area…so lots of fish
and few divers! Turtles, rays, nudibranches, dolphins,
barracudas…name it - you’ see it…….maybe…! The dive
center is brand new with new equipment, compressor, tanks, dive
shop, dry room for our guests, multilingual instructors (german,
english, french, italian & russian), a workshop… and a terrace
for chill-out after diving. More infos at:

The total population of Musandam is approximately 27,000 and the
capital Khasab has 18,000 inhabitants. Dibba on the East coast
of Musandam has a population of approximately 5,500. The
Peninsula begins with Tibat, on the west coast in the Arabian
Gulf to Daba (Dibba), on the east coast in the Gulf of Oman,
this coastal zone, along with many offshore islands, offers a
unique contact with nature. Small villages nestle along the
tortuous shoreline, most of them only accessible by sea, like
Lima and Kumzar.
Its rugged mountains rise up over 2,000 meters above sea level.
In Arabic it is known as Ra’s Musandam. The Ru’us al-Jibal (the
Mountaintops), the northernmost extremity of the al-Gharbi
al-Hajar (Western Hajar mountains), occupy the northern tip of
the Musandam Peninsula. The peninsula is generally about 35 km
wide.
The peninsula is mainly inhabited by the Shihuh, who are
fishermen and herdsmen and are probably descended from the
original inhabitants of northern Oman. Fishing is the
peninsula’s main industry with packing plants at al-Khasab and
Bay’ah. Transportation is mostly by sea, since no roads cross
the forbidding terrain.
The discomfort of driving to a brick and mortar gaming house can be sufficient reason to give up on it unless you absolutely must go. It isn’t required to leave your house to have a bash at online blackjack since everything will be conducted from where you are assuming you have a servicable computer with a functional Internet connection. Nevertheless, you should read on now, as there’s a number of prompts that you must first learn about online blackjack, specifically if you happen to be a rookie.
Learn the best game casino strategy from other live players.
The top priority that any cool Internet high roller is certain to chase out is an online blackjack website of the sort offering its patrons high winnings. Make sure that the online blackjack website is monitored by a reputable, secure auditor in order to verify their referenced wagers pay-out percentage regularly. You should ensure the online betting website holds a license, e.g. by checking out the approval as revealed on the casino site webpage. Should it prove impossible to discover any approval on that preferred online betting website, don’t think of staking with that web site.
Another bit of advice is to place your wager at first with trivial sums instead of splurging so much that it hurts straight off. To begin with, check the integrity of this particular online betting system prior to daring to risk any grave risk- specifically financial ones! Finally, do mind this particular hint about virtual casino. It can obviously only be to remember always that any and all gambling should be merely about pleasurable enjoyment and less about making big bucks. Gambling is not a regular employment, rather, it is a leisure pursuit that can let you feel glad and your life as a whole sweet. So, simply having gone with the facts listed above, you can now defer to the charisma of online betting!
Does your business plan include a section on planning for
failure? If not, why not?
Most businesses fail. And in many cases businesses fail
unexpectedly leaving the business owner stunned and at loss
about what to do. In other cases, business owners continually
feed cash and everything that they have into a failing business,
getting in so deep that when they finally give up they have
taken a big loss. And then they are stunned by what they have to
do to unwind the legal parts of their business.
And then if the business grows, often the business owner is not
sure what to do with the growling monster that wants constant
attention.
A business plan should include exit strategies.
The first business plan exit strategy should postulate what you
are going to do if the darned thing actually succeeds and you
are trapped with having to work seven days a week to keep up
with the demand. And your business plan exit strategy should
give you a list of target buyers for your business so that you
can sell it at a profit, unless, of course, you want to run it
from your home computer for the rest of your life until you
decide to shut it down and throw away all the good will and
equity that you have built.
At the same time your business plan should fully analyze what
will happen to you when your business fails. Remember that you
have at least, if not more than, a 90 percent chance of failing.
You have to plan to fail.
And your business plan has to define failure. Failure may simply
mean that your work effort has not met your goals. You may be
making a profit, but your time and effort is not worth much more
than the money you are earning from the project. Define the
benchmark and live with it. Make the decision before you start
up.
Also define how much money you will be able to invest. Use that
sum in your financial projections. If you do not have enough to
make the business self sustaining, using worst case assumptions,
stop. Look at a different business model and run another plan.
Too many people do their financial projections based on their
passionate belief that they can sell a product. And to satisfy
their own preconceived notions they make their financial
projections based on best case assumptions. They never assume
that the economy may sour and consumer purchasing power will
decline. They never assume that the exchange rate for the dollar
may affect the price of products that they want to import. So
when it happens, the financial projections upon which their
business plans are based are simply wrong.
To protect yourself, make your financial projections more
realistic. In all subject your business plan to a reality check.
Discuss it with one or more people and listen to their ideas.
Let them give you their opinions and criticism. And then
consider factoring them into your plan.
If you don’t have a business plan, it is the end for you now. Of
course it is not to late to step back and write a plan, but if
you have no plan and you are running a business, you are beyond
the beginning of the end. The end is likely nigh.
So whether you read this before you start of before it is too
late, write out your exit strategy now and then fill in the
numbers in your financial plan. Your numbers will tell you which
exit strategy is the most likely one that you will use. If the
numbers tell you that you will fail, listen to them. If they
tell you that you will succeed, go for it.

Reduce your investing and stock market risks by:
Setting your sights on the long term, patiently riding with the ups and downs!
If you have the time to be patient, you can benefit from time diversification. The more numerous good years for stocks outweigh the bad, pulling your return up.
Thus, if you hold equities for many years, you can expect to realize significant positive growth in your wealth.
Weeding out your laggards!
Don’t be too patient with laggards. This is the management risk referred to earlier. Underperforming the market benchmarks is a big risk to which many people are oblivious.
The more years you remain with a subpar performer, the greater the damage to your nest egg. Weed out funds that have lagged their peers over the past 18 to 24 months.
Avoiding hard-core market timing!
It’s not uncommon for hard-core market timers to move between the extremes of 100% stocks during an up market to 100% cash when their indicators signal a major turning point in prices.
Market timing is especially easy to do with mutual funds. Resist the temptation. Participation in the best up months is far more important than avoiding the worst down months, and the really dramatic upward surges in stocks are unpredictable, of short duration, and few and far between. Market timers risk being in cash when the bull stampedes. Missing out can make a big difference in your long-run returns.
Being disciplined and using cost averaging!
Investing monthly in a specific stock is a great way to build wealth and cope with market ups and downs. Your fixed investments buy more shares when prices are down and fewer at higher levels.
Cost averaging can help people become more disciplined because it encourages investing during market nadirs when individuals otherwise might be too fearful. A particularly good strategy is to double up on your investments when prices are depressed, if you’re able to. This will help enhance your long-term performance, by further reducing your average cost per share.

Review: Productivity Engineering-
A hypnosis program to help you improve your performance at work.
“Buy a hypnosis CD program? Will that really help me get more work done? Can it improve my work performance?”
I know, this is a little off the beaten path when compared to the usual courses and services I review. So first, to make real sense of this, let me tell you why I decided to go through and review this program.
I would like to be more productive, consistently
As someone who works from a home office, I am very aware of a huge variation in how productive I am. Some days and weeks I am extremely productive. My work performance is excellent. At the end of each day I’ll sit back and wonder how I managed to get so much done.
But for each day or week that I am wildly productive, there are other days and weeks when it feels like I’m trying to run through treacle. I find it almost impossible to fight my way through my work. When I feel like that, it’s frustrating, depressing and not very profitable!
I was the same when employed by various companies over the years. But working for myself, I find the issue a little more urgent - because the less work I get done, the less money I make.
I’m not a tape and CD junky
No, I don’t buy self-improvement or motivational programs. Not that I’m against them in principle. I would place myself in the ‘medium-cynic’ range. That is to say, I am open to self-improvement and the various ways to achieve it.
But yes, before I’ll believe in anything, I do take the stance of “Well, you’d better demonstrate to me that this is genuine, and not some granola-driven fantasy or rip-off.”
Why I took this hypnosis program
The first reason is that I was invited to try it. The second reason is that I am a firm believer in the power of one’s subconscious mind. I always have been. I know how my own subconscious can work for me or against me very powerfully. It can help me and hinder me.
So I have always been open to the whole concept of hypnosis.
That said, if a field out there is known for being filled with charlatans and idiots, it’s probably hypnosis. And that’s particularly true of hypnosis tapes and CDs. The whole hypnosis industry is completely unregulated and open to abuse.
So why did I decide to go along with this one?
When I was invited to look at this program, and before I asked for a review copy of the program, I did some homework. I did some digging on the site. I spoke with someone at the company. In other words, I wasn’t going to do a thing unless I could get past my internal, ‘medium-cynic’ filter.
To cut a long story short, I felt comfortable enough to spend the time doing the program. I won’t go into all the details of what persuaded me about the company. You’ll find all that on their web site, if you want to take that step. Suffice it to say, the company and its practitioners strike me as genuine. And I am very impressed by Neil Fiore, the person behind this program and, reassuringly, a Ph.D. in the mental health field.
One thing is for sure… this isn’t about anyone trying to ‘hypnotize’ you into a state of being a peak performer, like programming a robot or brainwashing you. As with any genuine approach to hypnosis, it’s not about that… it’s about helping you access the resources and strengths you already possess, locked up in your subconscious mind.
Has the program worked for me?
It depends on one’s expectations. But the honest answer would be yes. I have been very impressed. The program doesn’t come with wild promises and it takes time. There are 4 separate CDs, with hours of sessions with Neil Fiore. And neither he nor the company promises that a single session, or even going through the program just once will turn you into a super-performer. Hypnosis isn’t like that, and I appreciate the fact that they don’t try to pretend otherwise.
From the day I started I have been in one of my super-productive modes. Coincidence? Would I have been working well at that time anyway? Who knows. But for sure, I think the power of suggestion had a part to play. I have the capacity to be a good performer anyway. I already know that. And I think at the start of the program, just sitting down to listen was enough to nudge me into a state of performance that comes naturally to me anyway.
But it has been over two weeks now. As the program progresses, Fiore works to help you access positive attributes within your unconscious mind, and consciously access them when you need them. A bit like how an athlete spends a few moments to get into the ‘zone’ before competing. Even if she or he is having an otherwise horrible day.
With these tools I think I am managing to hold onto my high-producer mode much more consistently. And now that I have these tools to work with, and better access to the good stuff that swims around in my subconscious, I think if I hit a bad patch again, I will be able to pull myself out of it quite quickly and deliberately.
It’s working for me…but will it work for other writers and copywriters?
The fact that this program is working well for me doesn’t necessarily mean it will work for every other copywriter and writer. So I asked Neil Fiore what he thought - whether he felt the program had a lot to offer writers in particular.
Here’s his answer:
- Yes, I believe my Productivity Engineering program is very well suited to the needs of writers and copywriters.
Most writers put too much pressure on their conscious, linear mind to solve problems, find a coherent theme, and break through blocks. Typical solutions involve adding more time, more struggle, and more self-criticism that result in burnout, resistance, and a lower sense of confidence.
1) By learning to access the ability of your subconscious mind, you by-pass the conscious mind’s “default” and out-dated coping strategy and the ego’s counterproductive attempts at self-protection.
My program is geared to teach you how to connect with your subconscious/ Right Brain resources at will, thereby lessening the burden on the conscious mind and ego. That means that you can expect those break-through moments of epiphany and “ah-ha” whenever your conscious mind is stuck. You will learn to tune in to the right frequency of “dreaming mind” even while awake.
2) By using these CDs on a regular basis, you sharpen your ability to move rapidly from “not-knowing” to knowing - the essence of creativity. The ever-elusive writer’s muse becomes an ally that you can call upon with a growing confidence that your muse will bring you an answer. Common expression such as “I’m going to sleep on it.,” “It will come to me.,” and “This is going to be interesting.” will become triggers for igniting the creative problem-solving processes of your subconscious genius.
3) Exercises for Mental Toughness and Installing Productivity Habits will assist those who work at home in identifying the distractions that take them away from their top priority projects and will strengthen their ability to start sooner and work more efficiently.”
Neil Fiore, PhD
Should you try this program?
If you work for yourself, or are employed in an environment where you need to be self-motivated for much of the time, I suggest you give it a try. It could help you a great deal.
(As I mentioned, you’ll find the details on their site. But I will say one thing…each program comes with a one-year guarantee. So if you try it and feel it didn’t work for you, just send it back and they’ll refund your money.)
If, like me, you are someone who knows you struggle with ups and downs in how well you work and produce, I think it is definitely worth a try.
Right now I’m looking at my watch. It has taken me just under an hour to write this review. During a bad patch, it would have taken me a day, a day of fussing, procrastinating, rewriting.
Now think of that in terms of using your time on writing work that is paid for. Imagine getting that job done in a fraction of the time, for the same fee.
The company that provides the program is The Hypnosis Network.

A smallish budget and a need to spend it wisely - I think the most important thing to do is ensure that you are aiming at actual potential customers. Luckily as auto repair guys - you have a head start as most people have cars nowadays. But….. make sure that you are aiming at people who own the kind of cars that you repair - be that make of car, age of car and/or income level.
Second consideration is what you want to market - Be Specific. Have a service - or make one up - that you can explain in a few words. Try something like “Pre Freeze Tune Up” or “First Car Service” or “Pre Purchase Checkup”. Notice how the name explains it all. Try and offer something that will be appealing and that no one else is offering. It is far easier to sell a particular service on a small marketing budget than it is to sell all that you do! Identify your company with good branding - one that sticks in the mind - like “The Spanner Man”, “Jim’ll Fix It”, “The service you can trust” - you get the idea.
Get printed some posters in 4 color - about the size of a paperback book - is the most versatile size. Make sure they explain your offer and are easy to read, include graphics and not too many words. Don’t forget your contact phone number, address and company name.
So we have your potential customers and what you want to sell to them - now you need to market your company where these people are likely to be. Here are a few suggestions for you. Please always get permission to make your postings.
* Car parks: Arrange to put up small posters on the payment machines, at the entry barriers or at the payment booth. Wherever the motorist pauses for a while.
* Movies, restaurants etc: Particularly useful if you have a younger cliental. Place the posters on the notice boards, in the restrooms and wherever people wait for a while.
* Your local take outs: Place them where people are waiting for their meals. Do an exchange of services to ensure this.
* Clubs, pubs and sports areas: Place them where they can be seen as people meet or line up.
* Car Sellers: Offer commission to sellers who send you clients. Swap adverts with them.
If your budget will stretch, some other guerrilla ideas are:
* Place your advert on the lid of takeout food coffee cup sleeves, bags, tickets etc.
* Beer mats with your service - bring it to you and get a discount.
* Special offers sent to local businesses and their staff.
* Interesting fridge magnets - maybe in the shape of a comic car!
* A competition (legal of course) that your local paper will hopefully feature for you. It can be something like guess the washers in a can to win a free service. Anything that will bring people into your business where you can show yourselves off and provide sales material.
Tip: Send off details of your new service to the local press and local radio stations, in the form of a press release. Hopefully they will run this information to give you more free coverage.
Lastly - think a little out of the box, differentiate yourself and aim to introduce just one small element of your service - the rest will follow.

Many junior golfers are still in the process of developing all of the fundamentals of their game. One of the challenges faced is how to measure the progress of a player in these basics on the golf course, besides the obvious measurement of score.
When going onto the golf course it is critical that the young golfer have a specific purpose in mind as to what she or he is attempting to accomplish. These “process” objectives can become the criteria for determining how much growth is being made. Some examples are below:
Are all considerations being addressed in determining proper shot selection?
*Wind speed
*Wind direction
*Lie
*Slope
*Yardage from center of the green
*Hole location
*Choice of correct club
*Choice of correct shot
Is the young player reading the putts thoroughly?
Are the swing changes being attempted?
Is the player eating and drinking healthily enough and regularly enough?
Is the player adhering to the preconceived game plan?
Is the player playing too quickly or too slowly?
Are shots being played “one at a time” or is frustration mounting?
Is a narrow target being selected before attempting a shot?
Junior players can work on these kinds of things on the golf course by determining which one or two of these types of items they intend to work on. Giving oneself a hole by hole grade can be helpful. Simply marking on the scorecard on a 1-10 scale or a grade of A-F can keep the youngster paying attention to these goals.
Make sure that these types of positive habits are formed which will help in their growth and development, and ultimately impact the player’s bottom line score!

We all avoid maintenance on one pretext or the other but forget its core advantages, like low recurring expenses and optimum product utilization, especially in the case of Car Maintenance. By doing regular maintenance on our car, not only we can save money on car repair, but also enjoy more pleasant drives.
Car Maintenance is not a big technical job, and a novice with minimal car-related knowledge can also do it easily. You can initially start with tires. Tires are among the most expensive, regularly replaceable and neglected items on the car.
One must follow some basic rules for tire maintenance. The first and the foremost are checking tire tread for abnormal wear patterns. On finding any symptoms of abnormal wear in specific areas, tire alignment needs to be done to prevent further deterioration. Along with it, you must check tire pressures once a week, for longer tire life. Tire experts also suggest rotating tires and wheel balancing on every car’s regular service.
The other important aspect is oil, filter change and chassis lubrication. Car experts always advice car owners to change them after every 4,000-5,000 miles or every 3-4 months, to ensure longer engine life and optimum performance.
It is also important that lights are in working condition. One must check and replace all fuse bulbs every month, to ensure your journeys at nights are smooth and trouble-free. Besides this, we also advise you to check for any fuel leaks by looking for fuel drops below the car every morning, before you start your car. Washing the car and checking the battery once a week will also help you keep your car in perfect condition. By following these small instructions, you can easily say, “Let’s go for a long drive, honey!”
Maintenance provides detailed information about maintenance, aircraft maintenance, car maintenance, equipment maintenance and more. Maintenance is the sister site of Pontoon Boat Lifts.
The five Concept Golf swing principles have proven themselves to be the truth many, many times with the permanent improvement of countless golfers of all levels. But a couple months ago the principles were given confirmation of a different kind.
When I returned home late one afternoon, there were four messages on the answering machine, all from the same man. The voice said he was Walter Masterson and he had found Golf Can’t be This Simple - The Swing in a Borders bookstore, read it and wanted to talk with me right away. His tone was very excited.
Walter was a pitcher for the Boston Red Sox; teammate of Ted Williams. He wanted to know where I had found the five principles. He had realized some of these same truths as a pitcher, pitching coach and college baseball coach. He also had scientific confirmation from the kinesiology professors at the college.
Walter is a special guy and we had much fun talking about baseball and golf. It was great to have the confirmation of the Concept Golf five swing principles from a thoughtful professional baseball pitcher, especially since Concept Golf uses the pitching motion to describe the five swing principles.
